The engine has been developed by Ford specifically for use with Gas, and is based on the rugged Ford Ranger petrol engine. This is a commercial vehicle engine, designed for a long hard life of reliable service. The engine uses full modern electronic control to match engine and gearbox performance to optimise the fuel economy (27mpg with the brand-new Ford MonoFuel LPG engine) and the driving experience - just like a modern car!
